The Jugendkompanie der Ballettakademie der Wiener Staatsoper is looking for young dancers for the season 2024/25
The Jugendkompanie is an ensemble of 12 dancers between the age of 17 and 21, who are granted a training contract for a maximum of two seasons based on their artistic potential and their level of dance technique.
In close cooperation with the Wiener Staatsballett, the young dancers acquire an in-depth stage experience and are regularly seen in productions of the Wiener Staatsballett. Furthermore, they receive additional training, and individual coaching for international auditions, competitions, and their own performances with the Jugendkompanie.
Applicants must be between 17 and 20 years old at the time of the audition and have a professional dance education with a focus on classical ballet.
As a member of the Jugendkompanie, the students receive a flat-rate reimbursement of expenses of EURO 700.00 gross per month.
Contractual period: the 1st of September 2024 until the 30th of June 2025.

The Audition is by invitation only and held in the rooms of the Wiener Staatsballett on the 10th of March 2024 and involves the dancer coming to Vienna at their own expenses.
If you are selected for the audition, we will send you an invitation with all further information.
Closing date for video application is the 9th of February 2024.
