For the company we seek dancers with sound classical ballet technique; female dancers should be skilled in pointe work.
Specifically, the auditions are for dancers to join the company’s Aspirant Programme or to fill ad hoc, seasonal and full-time positions.
Company auditions take place at the Joburg Ballet Studios, Hoofd Street, Braamfontein on Saturday 4 February 2023 at 10h00.
No auditions will be held on Zoom.
Women are requested to bring pointe shoes and applicants must bring an updated CV with recent full body photo and height in centimetres, or e-mail it in advance.

Joburg Ballet (South Africa) seeks dancers with good classical ballet technique.
The company is based in modern, spacious premises at the Joburg Theatre, Johannesburg, with large studios overlooking the city.
Joburg Ballet performs a repertoire of classical ballets as well as works in contemporary style.
The company’s home theatre is the 1000-seat Joburg Theatre. Joburg Ballet is an equal-opportunity employer.
How to apply:
Round 1:
Applicants to submit by Saturday 6 November 2021 a resumé detailing training, experience and personal information (name, nationality, date of birth, contact details, height in centimeters).
Applications to include recent full figure photographs and film footage of the applicant’s dancing. Film footage can be provided by email, mail, courier or YouTube link.
Round 2:
Applicants who pass Round 1 will be invited to audition via Zoom on a subsequent date.
